Normally documents are divided into three types as Educational, Non Educational and Commercial. All the three types of Indian documents could be attested / legalized from Afghanistan Embassy or Consulate in India. To reach the final attestation or legalization the document has to pass through some mandatory attestation or Apostille process from various authorized authority in India. The authority of primary, secondary and tertiary attestation / legalization or Apostille depends upon the type of documents. The detail descriptions are as under,
Process 01
1. Firstly the document will be attested by the State Level Attestation Department 2. Secondly the document will be attested by Ministry of External Affairs 3. Finally the document will be attested by the Spain Embassy in India
Process 02
1. Firstly the document will be attested by the Home Department, Mumbai (Mumbai Mantralaya) 2. Secondly the document will be attested by Ministry of External Affairs 3. Finally the document will be attested by the Spain Embassy in India
Note:
(a) To complete the process, on the whole, it could take seven to ten working days (the normal time for Spain Embassy Attestation is itself two working days) and it may take some more time for transition and some unavoidable circumstances. (b) Original Document is required, which to be attested, along with photocopy of passport (first and last page) of document holder. (c) Prior to Spain Embassy Attestation an Attestation from Notary is required.

(b) Original Document is required, which to be attested, along with a covering letter on the company's letter head duly stamped and signed by the authorized signatory which to be saluted to the Spain Embassy stating the reason of the attestation. (c) Prior to Spain Embassy Attestation, Attestation from Notary is required.
